1 man dead after head shot, another in stable condition

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

A man died after being shot in the head and another man is in stable condition after multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday.

Bakersfield Police officers responded to 1402 2 nd Street in response to several reports of shots being fired in the area at about 1:10 a.m. 

Upon arrival, officers were directed to an apartment within the complex where two adult male victims were found shot. 

Tenants reported hearing a large peace disturbance outside in the parking lot prior to the shots being fired. 

One victim sustained major injuries to the head and was transported by ambulance to Kern Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.  A second victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is listed in stable condition at the hospital.
