BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Ten businesses were issued citations for selling alcohol to a minor in Bakersfield on Tuesday.
On. Jan. 15, a minor decoy operation to suppress the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors at stores licensed by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control was conducted.
During the operation, 25 businesses with an ABC license were visited and ten were cited for violation of the codes.
The Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff's Department Joint Vice Task Force conducted the operation.
Funding for this operation was provided by a grant from the California ABC through the department's grant assistance program.
