The Kern High School District with the help of the KHSD police department, Kern County Probation Department, Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff's Department conducted a truancy sweep for four KHSD schools.

Those schools were Frontier High School, North High School, Centennial High School and Vista West Continuation High School.

Officials said 48 students were contacted. Ten students were cited for truancy, one adult was arrested on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child endangerment, and possession of marijuana.
 
One juvenile was arrested on charges of being in possession of burglary tools.
