16 arrested in California City following probabtion and parole sweep

CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. - The California City Police Department arrested 16 people during a probation and parole sweep.
On Saturday, the CCPD conducted the sweep in the city with the assistance of the California Highway Patrol.
During the sweep, officers said they targeted specific areas which directly impacted the criminal element in the city.
Officials said the CCPD mobilized the majority of its police force to aggressively interrupt the activities of these individuals.
As a result of the police department’s efforts, officers arrested a total of 16 individuals and charged them with multiple crimes, including parole violations, narcotics violations and arrest warrants ranging in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Officials with the CCPD said, "Should you have any information regarding criminal activities occurring in your neighborhood contact the California City Police Department at (760) 373-8606."
