2 arrested for recent burglaries in Alta Sierra area

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

 

Two suspects were arrested on burglary charges in the Alta Sierra area.

On Nov. 15, at about 10:30 p.m., deputies assigned to the Kern Valley Sheriff’s Substation, searched a house at 10817 Pine Drive.

The investigation was related to recent burglaries in the area. 

Deputies found stolen property, from at least two recently reported burglaries, in the Alta Sierra area.  Deputies also found additional property believed to be from unreported thefts in the area.

As a result of the investigation, Eric Mijarez, 32, of Bakersfield, was arrested for burglary, receiving stolen property, destroying evidence, delaying a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding parole warrant.  

Dori Martin, 53, of Bakersfield, was arrested for burglary, receiving stolen property, destroying evidence, and delaying a peace officer. 

Both suspects were booked into the Central Receiving Facility.

During the investigation, officials found a light colored, unknown make minivan, as possibly being involved in the thefts.   Anyone having information related to the minivan or additional suspects is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

Officials are still investigating this case.
