BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Kern County jury convicted 37-year-old Milani Larrea and 31-year-old Abel Gaeta, Jr., of first-degree murder, a special circumstance of committing murder during the course of a robbery and first-degree robbery.
Around 9 a.m. on Feb. 17, 2010 Bakersfield police were sent to 620 Terrace Way regarding an apparent robbery victim, lying on the floor inside his motor home.
When officers arrived, they said they found Wesley Nunley deceased inside his motor home.
An investigation revealed that Nunley was assaulted, bound and robbed of numerous items taken from the motor home, Sgt. Mary DeGeare said.
Investigators arrested Larrea and Gaeta.
Gaeta and Larrea were convicted Wednesday Oct. 24, and their sentencing is set for Dec. 3, 2012.
They both face life without the possibility of parole.
