2 men arrested for murder 12 years later

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

Two men were arrested for shooting and killing a man 12 years later.
 
On Sept. 20, 2000, at about 8:30 p.m., officers of the Bakersfield Police Department went to the 100 block of Clifton Street for a report of a shooting.
 
Upon arrival, officers said they located the victim, Henry Gibson, suffering from gunshot wounds.
 
Gibson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
 
During the initial investigation, several possible suspects were interviewed; however, no arrests were made.
 
The case remained unsolved until physical evidence was made available and witnesses cooperated with the investigation.
 
The case was sent to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office for review and arrest warrants were issued for 28-year-old Steven Molina, and 41-year-old David McGuire.
 
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, Molina was arrested for murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.
 
McGuire, who was in custody on a separate offense, was arrested for murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.
