2 people killed in plane crash near Porterville, Calif.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Authorities said that two people were killed in a plane crash Sunday afternoon.
At about 4 p.m., air traffic controllers said they lost radar and radio contact with a sing-engine Beechcraft Bonanza about 9 miles southeast of Porterville.
The plane was traveling from San Diego to Fresno with two people onboard, Ian Gregor, Public Affairs Manager for the FAA Pacific Division said.
The plane tail number is N35SD and is owned by Floyd Johnston Construction Co. Inc. in Clovis California.
Search crews from the Kern County Sheriff’s Department said they found aircraft wreckage at about 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Crews said that both people were found dead.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash.
