2 shot at while pushing vehicle down Lotus Lane in Bakersfield

1 victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Two people were shot at while pushing their vehicle on Lotus Lane yesterday.

On Friday, at about 4:26 p.m., officers went to the 3300 block of Lotus Lane for reports of a shooting.

Officers said they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officials said the two victims were pushing a vehicle in the roadway when the suspects stopped their vehicle and shot at both victims.  Only one victim suffered gunshot wounds.

The suspects fled westbound on East Planz Road.

Officials said the uninjured victim tried to follow the suspects in his vehicle.  When he passed Meek Street at East Planz Road, an unknown suspect shot at him. The victim's vehicle was hit by gunfire, but he remained uninjured.

The wounded suspect's injuries were listed as moderate, according to officials.

Officials said the suspects were described as two black males, driving a white newer model vehicle.
