BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A cashier at a local AM/PM store reported a robbery after a suspect approached him with a knife Friday morning.

At about 1 a.m., the AM/PM cashier said two men entered his store on Fairfax and forced him to open two registers.

The suspects reportedly cleaned out the registers, took some cigarettes and demanded his car keys.

He said he gave them a copy of his car key which opens the outer doors, but doesn't start the ignition.

The BPD says the two suspects fled westbound on Auburn.
