23 arrested during prostitution sting

On Monday, the Bakersfield Police Department and Sheriff’s Department Joint Vice Task Force conducted a prostitution suppression operation in the area of Union Avenue.
A total of 23 people were arrested on prostitution related charges.
This area, which includes residential neighborhoods and businesses, is known to have a high rate of prostitution related activity and has generated numerous complaints.
The Bakersfield Police Department is proactively responding to the issue of prostitution activity through suppression operations.
