BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The cause of death of a 23-day old infant was released Tuesday.

On Sept. 2, 2012, officials went to a house on Akers Road regarding an infant that had stopped breathing.

On Sept. 3, 2012, an autopsy was performed on 23-day old Shennazar Frazier.

After additional studies, officials said it was determined that the cause of death was asphyxia due to overlay while sleeping.

The manner was said to be accidental by officials.
