BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - After a six-month investigation, Kern County Sheriff's Department deputies have arrested another man accused of drugging and sexual intercourse with minors.
On October 15, deputies said Anthony Scott Searles-Harris was arrested by Kern County Sheriff’s detectives on several charges relating to unlawful sex acts with minors after a six month investigation into parties Searles-Harris was hosting during which he was alleged to have provided alcohol and drugs to female juvenile victims.
During the parties, Searles-Harris is alleged to have engaged in sexual activity with the female juveniles and videotaped sexual activity involving the victims, officials said.
During the investigation, officials identified 28-year-old Randy Dale Miller as a possible suspect who was also involved in engaging in sexual activity with the female juveniles.
Detectives developed information that Miller had paid Searles-Harris a sum of money to have two female victims, age 13 years and 17 years, perform an oral sex act on him.
On October Thursday, detectives obtained a warrant for Miller’s arrest charging him with oral copulation with a person under 14 years of age, oral copulation with a person under 18 years of age, and conspiracy.
Miller was located in the east Bakersfield area last night and arrested on the outstanding warrant. He was booked into the Kern County Jail. His bail has been set at $200,000.
