A 3-day-old infant was found dead in its home.
At about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Bakersfield police officers were sent to an apartment located in the 300 block of Niles Place regarding an infant not breathing.
Officers said they found a 3-day-old infant who was determined to be dead.
As with all infant deaths, detectives were sent to the scene to conduct an investigation. The investigation is on-going.
