TAFT - Three men were arrested Sunday when they stole 21 lemons from a Paramount Farms orchard.
Eduardo Castro, 34, and 42-year old Juan Gonzalez, both from Maricopa, were picking lemons from a Paramount Farms orchard. Deputies later learned 37-year old Efrain Casillas, also of Maricopa, conspired with Castro and Gonzalez to pick the lemons, according to Sgt. Marc Haiungs in a press release.
The loss totaled $5.25, Haiungs said in the statement.
All three men were transported and booked in to the Taft City Jail on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and petty theft.
