BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Fire Department successfully closed a ruptured gas line emitting sulfuric, rotten-egg like odors on Ashe Road.

Firefighters and Pacific Gas & Electric Company was able to pinch the 4-inch pipe closed after closing down parts of Ashe Road.

Officials are unsure of what caused the rupture.
