$5,000 hospital grant to help child burn survivors heal

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - San Joaquin Community Hospital's Grossman Burn Center treats hundreds of patients every year.

The Center received a $5,000 grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The Grossman Burn Center will be using the grant to pay for pediatric burn garments and masks.

The compression garments help with patient healing.

More than 40 percent of burn survivors treated at the Burn Center are children.
