50th Annual Mountain Festival in Tehachapi draws hundreds

TEHACHAPI, Calif. - Tonight marks the end of the 50th annual Mountain Festival in Tehachapi.

About 30,000 attended the weekend of festivities.

"It's about community pride and we've got a gorgeous community," said Ida Perkins, President of the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce,  "Look at this park, it's incredible."

The festivities included hundreds of vendors selling goods and food, carnival games and live music.

There was a parade, 5K and 10K run, arts and crafts show, dinners, dancing, car show, and a rodeo. 

Organizers said this year's event was the largest in its history.

The festival is every year on the third weekend in August.
