A Bakersfield woman is recovering after being attacked by two pitbull dogs.
At about 10:50 p.m. Monday, Kern County sheriff's deputies were sent to a home in the 200 block of of Woodrow Avenue in Oildale, regarding a female being attacked by two pitbull dogs.
When deputies arrived, the said they found a 52-year-old woman who said she was visiting her friend when her friend’s dogs attacked her without provocation.
The victim’s friend was able to rescue her by spraying water on the dogs, deputies said.
The woman suffered a dog bite to her right forearm and a bite to her buttocks, deputies said.
She was taken to San Joaquin Hospital for treatment.
