BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A six-year-old boy is recovering from head injuries after he was hit by a car in east Bakersfield.
On April 9, officials said the boy was riding his bike on Larcus Avenue just before 7 p.m., when he was hit by a car going about 25 MPH.
CHP officers said the driver was blinded by the sun and wasn't able to apply the brakes at all before hitting the child.
The boy was bleeding from his head, but was alert, according to officials.
He was taken to the hospital and according to hospital staff, he is in stable condition.
