BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Thousands of motorcyclists rode through downtown Bakersfield Sunday in hopes of bringing Christmas to local children.
For 30 years, bikers participated in the Bakersfield Toy Run, acting as Santa for those in need.
The bikers partnered with the Salvation Army to help 750 needy families.
Central Valley motorcyclists rose side-by-side to the Kern County fairgrounds.
In 1982, just 50 bikers made the trip. The Toy Run is up to 6,000 participants.
The Salvation Army said it is likely the largest Toy Run in Bakersfield history.
