A fire at the Brighthouse communication center in Lamont leave people without service
Cause of fire is under investigation

LAMONT, Calif. - The Kern County Fire Department arrived at a fire at the Brighthouse communication center in Lamont around 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
The first crews to arrive said they saw little smoke coming from inside the building.
Once inside, firefighters said they did a quick search and found a smoldering fire in the attic.
Fire officials further said quick action from the firefighters prevented the fire from destroying the communication equipment.
Brighthouse representatives said they are working to restore service to they're clients.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
