BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -

A homeless camp near the Crystal Palace has people worried someone could get hurt.

It’s in an open area just behind this Denny’s on Buck Owen's Blvd. and just down the street from the Crystal Palace.

Employees at the Denny’s say the eyesore is just the beginning.

They say the homeless people are getting aggressive.

Employees say they have been threatened, chased even assaulted and at least once the transients have started a bonfire very close to cars in the parking lot.

Police say they have run off the people who were living here and are working with code enforcement and CalTrans to permanently remove the camp.

Police say the best thing employees and customers of the Denny’s can do is call them if the transients return.
