BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -

A new website is helping Californians keep their homes.

The website is run by keep your home California.

It’s designed to help people who are having people with their mortgages keep in their homes.

Answer a dozen or so questions online and you can find out if you qualify for help with your mortgage.

This brand new interactive website is designed to make it easy for people to get help whether they are facing foreclosure, are under water on their home or lost their job.

The site is also specially designed for California homeowners because the housing problems here are different from other parts of the country.

Officials are urging people to take advantage of the programs.

They say right now not enough people are applying for the housing help.

Local officials who help homeowners apply for the assistance say they have already seen a good number of success stories.

You find out if you qualify here: http://keepyourhomecalifornia.org/
