BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - It's hard to remember a time that gas prices were below three dollars a gallon. And they probably won't dip that low ever again.
AAA has released a statement calling those days of national gas prices bellow three dollars a 'thing of the past.'
The price of gas continues to rise despite increased production in the U.S.
According to bakersfieldgasprices.com, the average price locally is about $3.91 a gallon.
That's 13 cents higher than the same time last year.
A Senate committee is looking into why fuel prices are so high.
