Aircraft corpsman with US Air Force arrested in Kern County on attempted rape charges

He has since bailed out of jail

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Kern County Sheriff's deputies arrested an aircraft corpsman with the U.S. Air Force on possible attempted rape charges during a New Year's eve party. 

According to Ray Pruitt with the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Alex Goss and several other airmen were at a house party in Rosamond when they walked in on Goss allegedly having sex with a woman who was passed out. 

Pruitt said Goss was allegedly beaten by friends of the victim and she was was taken to the hospital. 

Goss was initially arrested but has since bailed out of jail. 

According to court documents, Goss flies medical helicopters for the air force and is stationed at Edwards Air Force base.
