BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The local ski resort was happy to see the snow brought in by the storm.
Alta Sierra saw 12 to 14 inches of snow and will be open this weekend.
The rental hut opens at 8 a.m., and the chair lift will start taking people up the slopes at 9 a.m.
It's the first time the ski resort has had enough snow to open since Jan. 29.
And if you're planning on heading up to Alta Sierra, please remember to carry chains because the roads may be icy.
