CHP officials said Tuesday an Amber Alert was cancelled.
Four children were recovered safe. The suspects are still outstanding.
An Amber Alert was issued early Saturday after four children were abducted by their biological parents from their maternal grandmother's home in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles.
The restraining order against the parents, 28-year-old Enrique Felix and 28-year-old Rosa Chairez, required that they only see their children by scheduled appointment, and under the supervision of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, Ortiz said. Felix was known to be physically violent toward the children, Ortiz said.
The vehicle used in the abduction was a dark-colored, possibly gray or purple PT Cruiser with paper plates and missing a hub cap.
