Amestoy's On The Hill has been shut down by the Kern County Public Health Department.
According to the Safe Diner website, Amestoy's, which is located at 2303 River Boulevard, was shut down on Monday.
Health inspectors found rodent droppings throughout the facility, in the bar area, in the food prep area and under and behind equipment. There were also droppings found on cans in the food storage area.
According to the health inspector's report, the owner said there was a problem with rodents that were trying to be abated with traps.
