BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A tough new anti-pot shop ordinance is officially on the books.
City councilmembers adopted the ordinance during last night's meeting.
It bans medical marijuana dispensaries in the city of Bakersfield and also gives local law enforcement the power to close the shops based on complaints.
It will go into effect in 30 days.
