BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a reported fire at an apartment complex Tuesday at 1:18 p.m.
The apartment was located in the 3000 block of N. Halfmoon Drive.
The first arriving BFD engine reported a working fire with moderate smoke showing. The fire was in the kitchen of the apartment and was contained there without extending to the adjoining apartment.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
BFD Arson Investigators were dispatched to the scene in order to find the cause of the fire and to secure the area.
The estimated damage is $10,000, and the fire cause was reported as accidental.
