BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Armed Forces Support Riders gathered Sunday morning to provide escort rides to new recruits entering the military.
The recruit escort ride took off from Panama Lane and Stine Road.
Veterans came out and shared their thoughts on what this means for those joining the military.
"It's kind of nice to see the beginning of a future soldier and see how they start and what they're going to become," said Wesley Barrintos.
Between 20 to 100 motorcyclists usually take part in the ride, and the riders go south on Highway 99 or east on Highway 58 depending on the new recruit's destination.
