But Connell's arraignment was postponed after his lawyer asked for more time to review the case.

Connell's mother and stepfather were found dead inside their Northwest Bakersfield home. Connell's mother worked for the Delano School District for 16 years.

Learning about the death of the Higginbotham's hit hard especially for staff in the Delano School District, where Kim Higginbotham worked as a kindergarten teacher.

Students and staff are trying their best to cope with the death of one of their best teachers.
