BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A local assemblymember has spoke out after Senator Michael Rubio has announced his resignation.
Assemlymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) released the following statement:
"I respect Senator Rubio's concerns for family and the value he places in being there for his children," stated Assemblymember Salas.
"This step certainly creates a shocking void for all of the great work he has been doing. I will continue to work with everyone as we continue to move our community forward," concluded Salas.
