BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - An assemblymember is searching for help in servicing a Lamont veterans house.
Assemblymember Rudy Salas and his staff are seeking volunteers to help paint the home of Air Force Veteran Lawrence Mena of Lamont.
Mena graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1960 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force that same year.
He has lived in Lamont for the past 25 years.
The painting of his home will begin at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23.
