BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - As your kids head back to school next week, local law enforcement will be there to make sure they stay safe in the streets, but they do have a few reminders for parents as well.
Officials ask parents to warn their kids to be cautious while walking and riding their bikes to school.
Authorities also remind parents to be extra vigilent behind the wheel when taking kids back to class.
The traffic Safety Administration says 95 children under the age of 14 were killed in traffic related crashes in California in 2012.
