BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a suspect believed to be responsible for a series of bank robberies in the Bakersfield area.
Since Jan. 2013, the BPD has investigated three bank robberies where the suspect appears to be the same person.
In each of the robberies, the suspect entered the bank by himself, posed as a customer, approached a teller, then made threats of possessing a gun and demanded currency.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s to earl 30s. He is estimated at a height between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10, with a stocky build.
The suspect is believed to be the same person:
1. Jan. 29: Chase Bank inside the Albertsons at 3500 Panama Lane
2. April 4: Rabobank on 3990 Gosford Road
3. April 27: Bank of America at 9000 Ming Avenue
