BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Animal Services Department, City of Bakersfield Animal Care Center, and the Bakersfield SPCA have joined forces to offer reduced adoption fees during the month of August.
Dog and cat adoption fees will be reduced at all three agencies.
Kern County Animal Services will charge $15 to adopt dogs and $5 to adopt cats.
City of Bakersfield Animal Care Center will charge $40 to adopt dogs and $5 to adopt cats.
Bakersfield SPCA will charge $50 to adopt dogs that have been in the shelter for more than 6 months, and $30 for cats that have been there for more than 6 months.
All animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Eligible dogs will also
receive a dog license.
