BAKERSFIELD - A local man who dedicated most of his life to giving at-risk kids in east Bakersfield a fighting chance will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Michael Dallas lost his battle with leukemia last week.
Dallas was a boxing coach with the Bakersfield police activities league for more than a decade -- and a mentor to hundreds of local kids.
His funeral has been scheduled for 10 a.m. at Saint Peter's Baptist Church.
