BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Burrito Project held its fifth annual Thanksgiving Breakfast Burrito Bash Thursday.
The event fed hundreds of people in need, and volunteers also handed out blankets and hygiene kits.
The event was at Millcreek Park at 21st and R streets at 10 a.m. There was entertainment for clients to enjoy as well.
All the food for the breakfast burritos was provided by Wesley United Methodist Church.
The hygiene kits included soap, toothpaste and feminine products.

The Burrito Project is looking for donations of gently used clothing, especially warm clothes like sweaters, jackets, and scarves. New underwear and socks are also appreciated. They said any canned goods with a pop top and large donations of fresh fruit are welcome. Monetary donations can be directed to www.bakersfieldburritoproject.org.
