BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield City Council will decide whether to spend thousands of dollars on a brand new spray park.

City leaders will vote on a plan to spend more than $200,000 in tax revenue to fund the project at Siemon Park in northeast Bakersfield.

The spray park will replace a swimming pool, which has been closed for years.

If the funding is approved, the spray park could be ready to go by August.
