BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield City Council will vote on support for a bill Wednesday that would shut down Internet cafes in California.

Councilmembers are expected to vote on a resolution supporting Assembly Bill 1439.

Assemblyman Rudy Salas said the cafes make use of a loophole that allows them to operate as gambling sites.
