BCSD announces Summer Meals locations, times

The Bakersfield City School District is gearing up for their summer meals program. 

Starting June 13th, children ages 1 to 18 years old can visit certain locations throughout Bakersfield for breakfast and lunch. 

 do not need to live within the area of the site they visit and you do not have to meet any qualifications to receive a free meal.

Children from all areas and school districts are welcome to the free meals and do not need to live within the area of the site they visit. Children also do not have to meet any qualifications to receive a free meal.

Proof of age may be required and federal regulations state that food served to participating children cannot be given to or shared with anyone else. 

Persons 19 or older may purchase a meal at a low cost. 

Food will be served Monday through Thursday starting June 13 - July 14, 2016, but will be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Breakfast will be served from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Starting July 18 - August 5, 2016 food will be served Monday through Friday at only one location. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
