Bakersfield City School District hosts Jr. high and middle school band, orchestra festival

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Hundreds of Bakersfield students took part in a musical tradition Thursday.

Seven schools in the Bakersfield City School District participated in the 8th Annual Junior High and Middle School Band and Orchesta Standards Festival.

The festival was created to help measure student progress in band and orchestra classes.

The performances are open to the public at the CSUB Dore Theatre.
