BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - People flocked to Bakersfield College today to help make a difference in someone's life.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the school's student government association held a blood drive as part of the National Cesar Chavez Blood Drive Challenge.

Last year, the school was ranked fifth out of 225 colleges for the number of pints donated.

If you'd like to take part, head to the Fireside Room, which is adjacent to the John Collins Campus Center.
