BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield College helped students get ready for the summer and fall semesters with a one day event and some fun in the sun.
BC held its "Registration Rocks" event Saturday afternoon.
There was food, music and prizes along with booths and displays about Bakersfield College's programs.
The goal was to make the enrollment process easier for students and help them understand exactly what classes BC offers.
"We're hoping that we're going to educate more students about how accessible everything is and really take that edge off so their first experience is one that is more of a fun experience and when it's time to start taking classes they're ready for that without the anxiety," said Nan Gomez-Heizeberg the Executive Vice President at Bakersfield College.
Bakersfield college has added 50 more classes for summer and fall semesters.
Additional courses are being added every week to keep up with the demand and new students enrolling at the college.
