BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Motorists are advised to anticipate intermittent traffic delays on Jewetta Avenue, between Braemar Lane and Pecos River Drive in the vicinity of the bridge over the Westside Parkway, on Tuesday-Wednesday, May 14-15, 2013.
The contractor for the Westside Parkway will be removing concrete barriers in that area between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Flagmen will be stopping both northbound and southbound traffic for up to five minutes while work is under way.
All lanes of Jewetta Avenue will reopen in time for the evening commute.
Motorists are advised to stay alert while traveling through this area, and to watch for construction equipment and personnel that may be entering or leaving the roadways. The Thomas Roads Improvement Program apologizes for any inconvenience this work causes the traveling public.
