BAKERSFIELD - A Bakersfield man was arrested last week, and is charged with nearly 10 counts of sexual abuse of his children.
Daniel Holthaus was arrested April 17. His children, now ages 8 through 20, told detectives they were repeated forced to perform sexual acts with their father, documents said.
In one case, the abuse was weekly from August 2000 to December 2008.
The charges were filed Monday. Holthaus is being held on $1,000,000 bail. He will appear in court May 1.
