BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - After almost a year of investigation, the Bakersfield Police Department were able to identify and obtain an arrest warrant for a forgery suspect.
In March of 2012, the BPD began an investigation where surveillance videos were reviewed and several people were interviewed after a suspect passed many forged checks with false information.
Officials said they were then able to identify the suspect as 29-year-old Natasha Thompson. An arrest warrant was obtained for Thompson for 52 counts of forgery and 13 counts of burglary.
Officials arrested Thompson on Jan. 15.
Anyone with information is urged to call the BPD at 327-7111.
