Bakersfield girl recovering after being hit by car

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield girl is recovering this morning after being hit by a vehicle.
Just after 7:30 p.m., the Bakersfield Police Department arrived at Hosking Avenue and Zermatt Street for a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.
36-year-old Daniel Rangel was driving when a 17-year-old was crossing the street, stepped off the center divider and in front of the car.
Rangel is not in custody and police said drugs or alcohol were not involved.
